So, in less than two weeks of owning my brand-new 2023 Toyota GR86, I’ve already got it running with a 3P Air Lift Suspension. Since getting my hands on this car, we’ve been moving pretty fast, slapping on new stuff like an exhaust, some tint, and now, bags. Honestly, this happened way quicker than I thought, but I just couldn’t resist cruising with my homies on that stock height look. I’ve had this dream of building my own car for a while now, and the adrenaline to make it happen fast is kicking in big time. And just to clear things up, none of this is coming from my parents’ pockets. I’ve worked real hard for every dollar that’s going into this car.
A bunch of people were asking me, “Coilovers or bags?” Well, I went with bags. No hate for the coilover crowd, though – some cars do look sick when they’re dropped on coils with that static, lowered look. I do hope to own a project car down the road that I can slam on coilovers. But for now, this car is not only fresh off the lot; it’s also my daily driver for work and school. Being able to tweak the ride height whenever I feel like it and not stress about speed bumps or weird road quirks just makes life smoother and a lot easier. And, let’s be real, it’s pretty cool too.
In sharing this video, I want to emphasize that my intention is not to show off or boast. Instead, it’s a genuine expression of my excitement and happiness. I’m eager to showcase this special moment with all of you and hope that it inspires or even educates anyone else who is interested in doing the same. Everyone moves at their own pace with building a car and that is completely fine.
Let me know what you guys think about my new suspension in the comments!
