Ownership Update On My Honda S2000

I’ve had my 2008 Honda S2000 for about 4 years now and as expected from a Honda, those 4 years have basically been trouble and maintenance free. The great thing about the Honda S2000–and Hondas and Toyotas in general0–is the peace of mind that no matter where or how far you are going, these cars will get you from point A to B without an issue. However, there are drawbacks to the Honda S2000 to be sure: its cramped, it has no storage, its loud, and if you want instant power or torque this is the last car you should own. Though its VTEC engine is endearing to most enthusiasts, the other comprises I have to make with this car definitely push it down the list of my top 5 or 10 favorite cars to drive. Don’t get me wrong, it can still be a blast to drive under certain conditions and I still say its my “best car to drive quick”, but I have found myself pondering whether to move on from my Honda S2000 over the past few years. As of now, I haven’t pulled the trigger as there’s no other comparable roadster or sports car I would want for the time being. Until then, I’ll keep ringing out this engine to 7500 rpm and waiting for the engine to explode 🙂
