👋 In today’s review we get to take a look at a new trim level for the 2025 Toyota GR86! This is the Hakone Edition which is limited to 860 units for the USA market! The 2025 Toyota GR86 is a very fun sportscar and this model has the six speed manual which makes it even more fun to drive! The 2025 Toyota GR86 Hakone has an upgraded suspension with Sach dampers, bronze wheels, Brembo brakes and a very nice interior design! The exterior is finished in a unique green which matches nicely with the bronze! The rest of the exterior is identical to the GR86 Premium with nice lines, and functional inlets throughout!
The interior for the 2025 Toyota GR86 Hakone has a nice layout with easy to use controls and basically what you need for a daily! While this is a small two door vehicle, it is practical with the space and storage available. You could put some smaller people in the back if needed, but it’s mainly for extra items. I used my GR86 for larger items with the seat folded down and it worked very well! So you get extra practicality with a fun affordable sportscar!
I never got the chance to drive mine on the track, so that’s what we did today with Toyota! The Toyota GR86 isn’t the fastest vehicle, but it handles amazing! It’s super easy to drive and shift as well, corners well and is such a blast! Having drove the GR Corolla back to back, you can tell a difference in power, but this car is great for more of an autocross track or twisty mountain roads where speed isn’t the main factor. It’s a great first vehicle for someone wanting to get into the sportscar world, but might be intimidated by lots of horsepower. So you can a practical, affordable, manual transmission vehicle that you can learn to drive and learn performance driving before stepping up to the next level. The Toyota GR86 though is a car you can continue to drive and have fun if that’s all you are looking for! It’s a great track vehicle and a great daily driver!
