Aah, the S2000… she reminds me of the Porsche 944 C2 cab that I had the pleasure of driving last year.
Comparing the two would be unfair as I drove a stock 944, while this S2000 has a short shifter, Tein springs lowered onto Koni shocks. Matching the spring rate to the dampers is a lovely recipe for a good ride. Special mention the stiffened chassis, courtesy of the rigidity bar in the engine bay.
The S2k has an interesting way of delivering power-in that it, the S2K does not deliver the power to your door step. My daily, turbo ,car delivers power to me on priority delivery at 3K RPM. In the @Honda S2000, you need to get up, go to the restaurant and fetch all 250 of those horses at 6.6k. I don’t know how accurate that is, my butt dyno senses peak torque @6.6. The short throws on the 6 speed leaver has made me jealous of the owner because I feel like I’m swinging a bat trying to find a gear in my daily runner.
Driving the S2K has put a smile on my face that makes me giggle even at the thought of her.
She’s a 10/10 and I hope to driver her again.
